Quincerto (formerly InFocus) consist of five members, Jamie, Peter, James, Keith and Alan. They have supported bands such as Steps, Five and Westlife on tour, and they even came and did a gig in Craigavon! (Hmmm, reminds me of a certain other boyband that I was a huge fan of, initals BZ!)
InFocus - First Encounters
One day (16th December 2000), a STEPS crazed maniac went to see her beloved fave band for the third time, on their "Steps into Christmas" tour.
As I was entering the brand new Odyssey Arena, a man handed me a publicity card. It was for a new boyband, "InFocus". I looked at the guy and he said "there you are, some boyfriends for you". My friend Alyna, who doesn't like boybands, just rolled her eyes. I however, being the boyband fiend that I am, was quite interested in them. There were 3 support acts, they were second to perform, in between Masai and Girls@play. They were pretty good, I had thought. The publicity card was stuck up in my locker at school.
A few months later, I went to see another of my fave bands, Westlife. Well, wasn't I happy when I discovered who their support act was! Along with 5th Avenue, Reel and Bellefire, InFocus performed. I thought they were ok at the Steps concert, but they were fantastic at Westlife! They mentioned that they would be appearing on MTV that Sunday, so I made sure I tuned in.
August came around, and a book came through our letter box. When I looked through it, I got to the back page to discover some familar faces would be performing right here in Craigavon! So, on a sunny day in September, I was off with my mad mates to see InFocus at Craigavon Lakes! Armed with a pen and the publicity card and my camera, I was ready to meet the lads. We arrived late and only got to hear 2 songs! I didn't really mind, I rushed around the back to meet them. The first one to come over was Alan. He took one look at the publicity card and said "That's an old one, where did you get that? Do you wanna a new one?" So off he went to get me a more up to date card! Then, the rest of the guys came along, and I was lucky enough to get a kiss from Peter (I wanted the others too, but there were so many people and I didn't wanna take up their time). They were getting ready to leave, and Alyna asked James if he could pose for a photo with me, Bronagh and David. she had a bit of trouble with my camera, but it was eventually taken. It didn't come out very well. Then Jamie was passing, and me and Bronagh got our picture taken with him. It came out very nicely, which you will see in my Friends photo section. It was a great afternoon, I was very sad when it ended.
InFocus have helped me to meet many new friends, they know who they are! lol! It's nice to know I'm not the only crazy person when it comes to boybands. ;)
