9/11/03 Work was actually fun!
Well, kinda! Might have had something to do with the fact that I wasn't working in the Craigavon store, but the fabby new store in LIMERICK! All expences paid, I went down with Milo and Siobhan. It was fun, the hotel was a bit boring but we all went out on our last night and had lots of fun. The worst bit was the travelling, toooooooo long to get there!
30/10/03 Xtina rules!
I went to the Christina Aguilera Concert at the Odyssey. I queued up from very early, froze my arse off and got front row! The show was great, the Black Eyed Peas were supporting and they were amazing as well. However, her bodyguard shouted at me for holding up my mobile phone! Oops! The only really bad thing that happened that night was I nearly missed my train and lost my jumper when running to catch it! But still, a great night! Big hello to all the people who were queuing up with me, you're all class!
26-9-03 - Let's go Giants let's go (part 659! lol)
I went to yet another Giants game, my 1st in about a year! We got free tickets from season ticket holders, so all we had to worry about was train fare and money for food. It was an exciting game, which we won! The Giants were playing the Cardiff Devils, and the score was 6-3 to the giants! And Sean Berens is coming back! (Just thought I'd add that point in there! lol!)
11/9/03 'bout time I updated!
I can't believe I haven't updated this section since June! I'll attempt to cram everything into a paragraph though! Went to see Eminem in concert, journey there took 7 & 1/2 hours! Went to O2 in the Park, wasn't as good as last year, but still cool. Went on a residential in Corrymeela, Ballycastle (hey to all the gang from there!) which was an absolute blast and the experience can be summed up with 4 c words... Coffee, Crunchies, Cucumbers and Concussion! Nothing happened in August that I can remember, and I started back to school last week. This week I went to look at universities, Jordanstown and Queens, I don't think I'm going to either of them!
The end! I think I need to update more often!
22/6/03 Westlife rock!
I went to the Westlife concert on Tuesday night, it was fab! OK, so we were in, like, row 40! lol! But we could still see and hear everything, it was great! The best part was when they flew over the audience, I took loads of picture when they were above me. AND NICKY WAVED AT ME! Woo-hoo! It was an amazing night.
8/5/03 Best day of my life!
I'd heard a rumour that Lisa Scott-Lee was going to be on the John Daly Show this week, so I'd phoned up the BBC to ask, but they told me they wouldn't know until the day of filming. So yesterday I decided I'd go to Belfast and found out, and if she wasn't on I'd go shopping. I went to reception and asked if she was on, and he said yes! I then asked what time she'd arrive at, and he told me he didn't know, but she'd come around the back in a chauffeur driven car. Well, being a huge Steps fan and Lisa being my fave, it looked like my dream was going to come true and I was going to meet my idol!!! So I went around the back of the BBC to wait. I watched every car that drove in to see if she was there. Finally, a huge car drove up and the windows were tinted, so I couldn't see who was in it. I looked through the fence and saw Lisa get out of the car! I asked the security guy if I could go into the car park to meet her, but he couldn't let me. I didn't mind, though, I waited for another while, I figured she couldn't stay in there until the recording, she'd have to come out some time! After a while a guy came out and said "Are you waiting for Lisa?" and when I told him I was, he told me that she was over at the Europa Hotel getting hair and make-up done, and that I'd be able to meet her there! So I rushed over to the hotel and saw a women with a headset talking to a group of girls (the dancers). I waited for a while, and she came over to ask who I was waiting for. I told her, and after about 2 minutes Lisa was ready! I got to meet my idol finally! I got 2 autographs (she couldn't understand my accent, but neither can I half the time!), a photo and a hug! I was sooooooooo happy! And still am!
Happy ending? Well, yes, if that was the end! But it wasn't! My next mission was to try and get into the show to see her performance! I waited until the crowd went in, then I went in. (The guy at reception said "Are you still here?!" in a jokey way!) I asked if there were any seats left, and if there were could I go in. I was told to wait for a while, and then it turned out there was an extra ticket, so the nice reception guy gave it to me! I got to see her perform! Also on the show was Emma Bunton, Jennifer Ellison, Leslie Grantham (Dirty Den from Eastenders), Michael Brandon (Jerry Springer in the new musical), Mo Mowlam and Mickey Joe Harte. After the show I got a pic with John Daly! I got home at about 11.40pm. It was a very memorable day! :)
18/3/03 Happy (belated) St Paddy's Day!
I could have wrote this up last night, but I was way too tired, but then again, that's what happens when you wake up at 5am! Yesterday I went to see the wonderful, fabulous, amazing band known as SIX, and also Sinéad and Malachi from Fame Academy. I got to Belfast at about 8am, and the stage wasn't even up yet! So I hung around until it was. Six were on stage at 2pm, and they were fantastic! Then Malachi came on and sang a few songs, the Sinéad came on a sang. After that I went to hang around the Hilton and met Liam, Sinéad and Emma from Six. Got my photo taken with Sinéad and Liam, and as usual the pics will be on the site soon!
